November 2012 saw PAY.ON AG expand its infrastructure to provide the ability to process POS transactions within a PCI-DSS-certified environment.
This is a major step forward for the company, as many mobile POS providers in Europe already rely on the company for the card payments that they process. The new certification has also meant that PAY.ON and payworks are now the only neutral supplier of credit and debit card processing services in Europe.

PAY.ON and payworks also allow their clients to launch mobile POS solutions via iOS, Windows and Android. As a result, clients are able to choose their preferred hardware for processing local debit cards (e.g. Germany’s Girocard). This includes the increased presence of smartphones and tablets for payment, as well as the traditional machine with receipt paper.
To guarantee the highest security standards, PAY.ON utilises several hardware security modules, in place at the company’s data centres in London, Salzburg and Munich.
